Policies of Beyond Quality Educational Consultants


During the course of our services to you, I consider any information that you and your family disclose as private and confidential. If you are a business entity that has contracted with Beyond Quality for services, information will also remain confidential including any information pertaining to your organization, students, parents/guardians, adults, and any other consumers using your services. This information will not be released without your express written permission unless I am required to do so by law. (Disclosure may be legally required when there is a reasonable suspicion of child abuse, if you or someone in your family/organization presents a danger to yourself or others, if the court issues a legitimate subpoena for specific information about you, or if a collection agency is necessary to collect payment on your bill.)


Any records I have concerning our work (including all informal and formal assessment protocols and reports), will be kept in a secure, locked area. You may request a copy of your records at any time within seven years following the termination of our services with you. Your request must be made in writing, and you will be charged $25.00 for administrative costs. If you would like your records to be copied and sent to someone other than you, you will need to sign a release of information before  do so, and you will be charged for administrative costs incurred. 

Data Collection:

During the course of our services with you, I may collect objective and narrative data to demonstrate student progress, to formulate new strategies, and to insure data-supported next steps. This data will be contained in your confidential file. 

Missed Appointments:

If you are unable to make an appointment, please notify me immediately. My phone number is (510) 332-6231 or email is regularly checked at beyondqualityconsultants@gmail.com. If an appointment is missed or cancelled without 24 hours prior notice, you will be charged for one hour of the missed appointment. 


Our basic fee for services is $100.00/hour payable by cash, check, or credit card with a $5.00 fee.  Any travel over 25 miles away from Oakland, California is billed at $50.00/hour. Attendance in court as an educational expert is $200.00/hour and requires a retainer in advance of $500.00 to be applied to future work. An invoice detailing billable services will be sent to you biweekly via email. If you prefer to be billed more frequently, please let me know so arrangements can be made. Payment is expected within 14 days of the date on the invoice. 

Late Payment:

If payment is not made within 45 days of billing, a late fee of $25 will be charged.  If payment is not made within 60 days of billing, an additional fee of $50 will be charged. Please contact me if a payment plan is needed. 


It is extremely important that we communicate in order to effectively and cooperatively work as a team. Beyond Quality endeavors to answer all phone messages and emails within 48 business hours of receipt. Weekend communications will be answered on the following Monday. Please me know if you have a preferred mode of communication (email, phone, in person, etc.) and I will attempt to communicate primarily in that form. 

While I encourage email communication, such communication can also be very time consuming. Emails that take over 15 minutes to answer will be billed in 15 minute increments at my regular hourly rate.

Services In Less than 24 hours 

Occasionally, families are in need of a written document or support that needs to be completed in under 24 hours. Given that Beyond Quality is a small business, we will bill work that requires a turn-around of less than 24 hours at $150 an hour - and will notify you if that is the case in advance. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancelation of Services:

If at any time you feel that the goals of the services are not being met, you may terminate them immediately with written notice. You will be billed for all services rendered until the time I receive your written notice. 

In turn, if a client is more than 30 days behind in payment, I may terminate services in writing to you. You will be billed for all services rendered up until the time written notice is sent. I will attempt to support your family or organization in structuring a payment plan that works for you, however, services will not continue until payment is made in full. 

Proprietary Information:

Any written documents pertaining to school selection or educational advocacy are proprietary information belonging to Beyond Quality Educational Consultants. As such, I ask you (or your staff, if you are an organization or business) to agree not to disclose this information to anyone outside the provision of our services to you without also identifying Beyond Quality as the developers of the written documents. 

Limitation of Liability: 

When you seek the services of Beyond Quality, while your family and your consultant will be discussing deeply your personal thoughts and values regarding the education of your children, please know that your family is ultimately responsible for making your own choices regarding your child’s educational path.  By contacting Beyond Quality, you agree not to hold me liable for any outcome resulting directly or indirectly from our recommendations, communications, or coaching services.

In addition, Beyond Quality’s services do not serve as a substitute for professional medical advice, legal counsel, accounting or financial assistance, business consultation, or spiritual advice. For guidance in each of these areas, please consult the appropriate professionals.

Acknowledgement and Consent: 

By signing this form, you are acknowledging that you understand and consent to what you have read above and my attached policies, and that I have discussed and clarified to your satisfaction any questions you may have had.
