We understand that choosing your child’s educational setting is a decision full of stress and complexity. Early childhood - and early adolescence - are critical developmental times in the life of every child, and as a parent, we can lose sleep over making the "best" possible decisions regarding our child's education.
Our heartfelt mission is to help families breathe a little easier. Our goal is to support, educate, and connect your family with schools that match your individual values, and we also wish to empower you in feeling knowledgeable about the full range of your educational choices. Looking at public, private, charter, or specialized programming, we strive to support all our families in finding a best fit to promote your child’s success within their educational setting -  and do our best to bring you a little piece of mind at the same time.

Who talks to an educational consultant? We serve a wide range of families with a variety of values, needs, and concerns — all with the common goal to support their child's success in school. Our first meeting together is free, so please contact us if we can be of any help to you and your family.

(We focus on serving families looking for Preschool - Middle School settings in Oakland, Berkeley, WCCUSD, San Leandro, and other neighboring districts.)

  • Summertime for an Educational Consultant You might (maybe) be wondering what an educational consultant does during the summer. Well, on top of helping people move to the Bay Area (and getting their educational ducks in a row), I look for ways of improving what I do and adding to my own professional knowledge. I love summer!Right now, I am at the SENG conference in San Jose learning from experts in gifted education locally, nationally, and internationally. It has been fantastic! And right after this post, I am going to update my resource lists to include all the fabulous schools, educators, and support professionals that I have met in the past couple of days - so I can pass that knowledge straight on to you!

I have gone to observe preschoolers that families are concerned with readiness for Kindergarten; I have gone to look at a child's behavior at school and what supports we could provide to make them more successful in that setting; I have gone to examine social dynamics of a classroom and make recommendations about how to support a child in managing a tricky social environment. There are many reasons that ...
